Grizzly Bears Lounging in a Clawfoot Tub Is Hysterical

A pair of orphaned grizzly bears came to the BC Wildlife Park as cubs. They’re grown now, and their keepers wanted to give them something interesting in their space that could hold water. Enter the clawfoot tub, and let’s just say, those grizzly bears are big fans of it.

The bears even like to sit in the clawfoot tub while it’s empty. Tracy Reynolds, animal care manager of the BC Wildlife Park in Kamloops, British Columbia, says staff tried putting a plug in the tub so it would hold water, but the bears pulled the plug out within 24 hours.

“They just love sitting there in the tub, lounging in the tub,” Reynolds says. “They are probably one of the most entertaining animals that I have witnessed here at the park for sure.”

In an interview with CBC News, Reynolds said the two bears tend to be pretty patient with each other and don’t fight over the tub. However, the bears loved the first tub so much that staff have since given the bears a second tub, so they no longer have to share.

In a YouTube video from CBC News, you can see the bears enjoying the tubs (and bubbles). They look like they’re loving life.
