The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) shared trail-cam footage of a Florida panther using a wildlife underpass to safely move her kittens. The video compilation, which USFWS posted to Instagram, shows the mom panther walking back and forth on the underpass and then carrying one of her kittens in her mouth.
“This Florida panther mom is making moves . . . literally,” USFWS wrote in the social-media post. “She was spotted on a critter cam using a wildlife underpass beneath Alligator Alley (I-75). The video shows mama panther making a few trips back and forth until the final clip shows her carrying one of her kittens in her mouth.”

USFWS says wildlife crossings save the lives of not only panthers but also humans by preventing collisions between wildlife and vehicles. The post celebrates the fact that there are dozens of wildlife underpasses and bridges across Florida, just like the one in the footage.
