Ishan Shanavas is a young Indian photographer, artist, wildlife enthusiast, college student, and soon-to-be author. This week, he posted a video to his Instagram page, which has over 27,000 followers, challenging viewers to find a well-hidden snake. In the video, he stands near a spot where a camouflaged snake is hiding in plain sight.
“If you look from afar, you may not be able to see anything,” he says. “But if you look closely, zoom in, and then you’ll be able to see a beautiful green vine snake just perched very carefully on the plant.”
Except you can’t see it. It really is that camouflaged. Even as the person taking the video (@daimler__07) zooms up, it’s still close to impossible to discern from the background, until suddenly, you see it.
