Peter Ndung’u, a wildlife and documentary photographer and filmmaker based in Kenya, caught the hilarious moment a young lion cub snuck up on its sleeping parents and lived to tell the tale. Ndung’u chuckles in the background as the scene unfolds, and every parent in the universe feels these lion parents’ pain when they watch.

“A lion cub sneaks up on its parents on an evening in Samburu National Reserve in Northern Kenya,” Ndung’u wrote in his Instagram post sharing the video. “It was hilarious how the cub went up to the lioness for some love immediately after scaring the male lion then went back to chill being very proud of what it had accomplished. All in all day’s work!”
