The security-camera footage from an unnamed lodge first shows what appears to be a staff member casually walking through a patio area on the other side of a fenced pool. Many excruciating seconds later, you see the kind of chase that can only happen in Africa—a man running for his life as a massive African buffalo chases him through the lodge patio area.

“When you thought the buffet was the only thing chasing you at the lodge!” wrote Tourism News Africa in its Instagram post sharing the video. “This tourist’s wild buffalo showdown at an African lodge is next-level hectic—watch ‘til the end!”
