The Cutest Thing on the Internet Is This Hopping Ermine

Millions of people agree: This hopping white ermine is the cutest thing on the internet. Ok, maybe that’s not a scientific fact, but a viral video of the little creature hopping through some glistening snow proves just how much people love an adorable animal video.

Ermines live throughout northern North America and Eurasia. During the winter, their coats turn from brown to white to help them blend in with snowy conditions.

“The white mountain ermine is a small, weasel-like mammal that turns white in the winter. It’s also known as the short-tailed weasel or stoat,” writes @naturecoed on Instagram. About 5.5 million people have liked this video reshare.

Unfortunately, the aggregator account doesn’t credit whomever took the video originally, so we don’t have much context. However, it seems like the person recording was on a snowmobile when he/she came across the adorable animal bouncing through the snow.
