Shocking Safari-Vehicle Traffic Jam During ‘High Season’

A summer scene in southern Kenya’s Amboseli National Park shows a shocking number of safari vehicles in a traffic jam. Apparently, this is just part of “high season” in the safari world—at least in some areas of Africa.

“Nothing beats a jet 2 holiday,” jokes take_me_on_safari, the Instagram account that shared the video from Pablo Perez Martinez. “Jet2 holiday” references a viral TikTok trend where the audio from a Jet2 commercial is overlaid on footage showing chaotic travel-related situations.

The caption continues: “How is the safari high season going for you?”

People in the comments section are horrified.

“Where is this so that we can all avoid it?” asks one person. (Apparently, it was late July/early August in Amboseli National Park.)

However, many others note that they’ve never seen anything like this on safari.

“Wow! I’ve guided on a few safaris but never ever seen this many vehicles in one place. I’d definitely give that one a miss!” shared one commenter.

It’s not clear what spectacle the vehicles had pulled over for, but it must have been good!
