We’re not getting over this hilarious viral video anytime soon. And these three kids aren’t going to want to go fishing again anytime soon, either. A family boating trip turned into a traumatic experience for three young kids when a huge fish—possibly an Asian carp—leapt out of the water into the boat. As it did, the fish managed to slap all three kids across the face. It’s downright hilarious.
The kids’ mom, Emily Carter, caught the moment on film and posted the video to her TikTok profile. It has nearly 90 million views. Carter sarcastically wrote in her caption: “Kids LOVE the new boat!” She also puts hashtags like #funnyafterthefact and #trauma.
Although we hate to see kids get scared, the video is truly very funny. One of the poor kids gets knocked clean off the boat’s bench by the fish. Carter’s offscreen reaction is priceless, too.

Carter has also posted the same video in slow motion and set to several different songs that enhance the comedic effect. We think the original is still the best, though.
