Susan Kehoe has a way with bears. When a “polite” black bear climbed onto her deck, she firmly told it to get down, and, believe it or not, it did. And it’s not the first time she caught a bear listening to her on film, either.
The online community loves Kehoe’s video, and many people note what a good boy the bear is (and give Kehoe a hard time for not telling him he’s a good boy). It makes me wonder—is using your “mom voice” with a black bear as good as carrying bear spray? Don’t leave your bear spray at home, but it’s worth a try next time you come across a curious (not aggressive) black bear.

“What kinda dog is this?” jokes one person in the comments section of Kehoe’s TikTok post.
“He said, ok mom,” jokes another.
Pubity also shared Kehoe’s video to Instagram, gaining tons more comments. One person called the bear a “polite distinguished gentleman,” and another called the bear “a polite baby.”
