Photog Captures Weird Orb After Leaving Camera Outside All Night

“I left my camera outside all night and found something I can’t explain,” wrote Connor Paton in a popular social-media post. In the post, Paton shares incredible time-lapsed footage of the night sky as it morphs and changes—something most of us have never seen with our own eyes. But his camera also captures a dancing ball of light—an “orb” of sorts—that keeps shooting across the screen throughout the night, and that’s the part that Paton says he can’t explain.

Paton isn’t new to filming the night sky. He’s gone viral several times for his spectacular videos. But this one is different, thanks to that dancing ball of light.

“Can anyone explain what the orb was and the light going around in circles? (before anyone says a plane or satellite it’s definitely not),” Paton wrote in his Instagram caption.

Most people in the comments section don’t venture out and take a guess; they just comment on the video or scold Paton for “click baiting.” However, some people do try to explain the weird phenomenon.

“Amazing footage. As for the light I thinks it’s natural refraction of possible someone playing with a drone,” suggests one person.
