Ostrich vs. Bull Elk vs. Rearview Mirror—Oof

With nearly 34 million views on TikTok, a video from the Virginia Safari Park has gone viral, and for good reason. Jenny Abshire shared the footage last week from her recent trip to the 180-acre drive-thru safari park in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. While feeding an ostrich from a cup through a vehicle’s open passenger-side window, Abshire and her comrades got a shock when a small bull elk tackled the ostrich that was innocently eating from Abshire’s cup of feed.

Turns out, the ostrich wasn’t the only collateral damage in this wild encounter. The elk’s antlers did a number on the car’s passenger-side rearview mirror, too.

The comments section on the viral video will also make you laugh. People point out that the ostrich’s face is hilarious as it gets pummeled. Others point out the elk’s face is hilarious after the deed is done and one of the men in the car lightly scolds him, saying, “You did that!”
