“Actually, you’ll love a visit to a national park on August 4th. Because it’s free!” NPS wrote in its Instagram post sharing the video. “Everyone is encouraged to visit parks in honor of the 5th anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act.”

Signed into law on August 4, 2020, the Great American Outdoors Act provides funding for various infrastructure-improvement projects in national parks through the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund. The video encourages Americans to get out and enjoy the parks this Monday and all year-round.
