A viral video shows a small alligator launching into the water in Florida toward a couple of paddle boarders. The man standing on the inflatable board is not pleased when the woman sitting on the front of the board flinches. He scolds: “Don’t. Freak. Out.”
TikTok user shelb5933 shared the video, which has 17 million views. The comments section is torn between people chuckling at the “don’t freak out” part and people noting that the paddle board the pair are riding on appears to be dangerously under inflated.

“In Alligator country with a half deflated paddle board . . . don’t freak out,” one person jokes.
“DON’T FREAK OUT YOU’RE ONLY FLOATING ON A BALLOON IN DEEP WATER,” another commented.
“I freaked out for them,” wrote a third person.
I don’t blame the woman for flinching at all, and I also don’t blame the man standing up for having a mini-panic attack when her flinch almost knocked him into the water with the gator. Thankfully, no one fell into the water, and now they have a funny story and a viral video.
