A little dog cautiously approaches a massive anaconda in the bay—what will happen next? Perhaps what will happen next will surprise you, because this video isn’t what it seems. The Instagram account Ivy & Louise posted the video of Ivy, the cockapoo, investigating a “mystery beast” in the water that turns out to be something far less scary.
“Dog finds mystery beast in local bay,” wrote Ivy & Louise in the social-media post sharing the funny video. “What could it be, [Loch Ness] monster? Anaconda? Or something else? Would you be brave enough to investigate it?”

Louise, Ivy’s owner, really pulled one over on a lot of folks, judging by the comments section.
“Poor Dog! Just for a video? Really? Shame on you!!!!” wrote one person.
“This cannot be real? Anaconda swim in fresh water right? And I [don’t] think that they are able to rise their head from the water while swimming,” wrote another.
Clearly, these people didn’t watch the entire video, which clears up the situation toward the end. Plenty of others did watch the whole thing and are in on Louise’s joke.
“Omg that actually scared me [initially],” wrote one commenter.
