Dad Goes Crazy Over Leaping Orca in Puget Sound

A dad and toddler were eating a meal when they spotted an orca putting on a wild, leaping show outside their window overlooking Puget Sound. The dad’s reaction includes a whole lot of excitement (and a whole lot of eff bombs, too). The toddler knows something important is happening, but he probably won’t understand how magical the moment was until he’s a little bit older.

Kristine Sommer shared the video of her husband Adam and her son Leon as they experienced the orca’s fun acrobatics. It’s not clear whether the family lives there, or if they’re just visiting.

“When Adam sends you a video and says WATCH RIGHT NOW. You watch right now.
NOOO F***ING WAYYYYY,” Sommer wrote in her Instagram post sharing the video, which has over 1.2 million views.

Although everyone seems to agree that it’s awesome to see an orca leaping in the wild right outside your window, the comments section is abuzz with criticism about the dad’s word choice.

“Maybe the first time i understand your excitement and surprise of seeing an orca while leon has breakfast. but after that? i think you could use a little verbal self control. awesome that you and your son were able to witness such a sight. life is full of surprises. learn some new words,” wrote one person.

Others stand by the dad’s reaction as being perfectly normal under the circumstances.

“This is absolutely the correct way to respond to such an amazing [sight]! So incredible!” wrote another.
