Couple’s Doorbell Cam Footage Is Basically a Wildlife Safari

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve ever captured on your doorbell camera? Whatever it is, it’s likely not going to hold a candle to the footage Deon Geldenbuys and Kim Smith have captured. The couple lives in South Africa, and the pair apparently gets to enjoy wildlife safari after wildlife safari without ever leaving home, all thanks to the doorbell cam and other Ring cameras set up around their property. They recently shared several clips with Newsweek, showing African elephants, giraffes, a lion, a leopard, a porcupine, a civet, and more.

It’s astonishing to see these iconic African animals so close to a place humans live, but apparently this is all par for the course when you reside just 30 minutes away from Kruger National Park. As for any down sides of having these animals outside your doorstep, Geldenbuys told Newsweek that the elephants in particular can be a nuisance, since they eat all the landscaping.
