A dashboard cam captured a lightning strike that was eerily close to a car on an Atlanta highway earlier this month. The shocking video has gone viral. ABC News shared a clip from the Georgia man’s dash cam that shows the moment lightning strikes the shoulder of the highway in front of his vehicle. The strike thankfully misses another vehicle that’s driving in the lane to driver’s left.

Viewers note that the man driving doesn’t make a sound when this happens, and he calmly changes lanes away from the spot where lightning struck just moments before he passes it. Many people also chimed in about how rare of a sighting this was.
“I been chasing lightnings for over 3+ decades and never seen one like this,” wrote one person.
“Dude said nothing. I would be screaming,” wrote another.
