Bear Tries to Open Trash Can (And Fails Miserably)

A viral video from Justin Prax shows a bear trying its best to open a trash can by pressing down on it repeatedly, as if giving the trash can CPR. The bear tries and tries as Prax films it from afar, and then the bear appears to get frustrated and give up. We’ve all been there, bear.

“Visitors in Robe this morning,” wrote Prax in his Facebook post sharing the video. Presumably, Prax is referring to the Robe Lake area near Valdez, Alaska. The comment thread reveals that folks in that neighborhood have locked trash-can lids for exactly this reason.

“That’s some good advertising for the trash bin,” wrote one person on the video.

“[The bear is] CPR certified, clearly!” joked another.
