Playful Dolphin Joins Family’s Ocean Swim in Delightful Video

A family dove into the ocean for a swim and a dolphin decided to join in on their fun. A delightful video shows the family members smiling and laughing as the dolphin bobs up and down, wiggles its flippers, and twirls around in the middle of their group. Dolphins are famous for their playful behavior, and, at times, they also enjoy being with humans, but the family still didn’t expect this incredible interaction.

“A family were treated to an aquatic masterclass after a playful dolphin joined them on their morning swim,” wrote dailymailuk in its Instagram post sharing the family’s video. “Lynda MacDonald, 50, and her partner, son and his girlfriend, set out for their 6am morning swim at Lyme Bay, Dorset on August 3. Seconds after the family jumped off their boat for a swim [. . . ] the huge bottlenose dolphin [joined them].”

One person in the comments section claims to know this dolphin. He wrote: “I’m a fisherman out of this harbour, [this dolphin] follows most of the fleet all day round the bay, especially us!”

The fisherman warns people of getting too close though. “This is not a tame dolphin like you’d see in an aquarium, it’s smarter than you and unpredictable!” he added.
