Viral Video: House Cat vs. ‘Nope Rope’

When one woman’s cat decided to bring the outdoors inside, she wasn’t exactly thrilled. However, she recorded the interaction between her cat, Cleo, and the “nope rope” (i.e., a bull snake), and it went viral. The cat tries to play and snuggle with the snake, but the snake just wants outta there.

The bull snake isn’t venomous, but anything with a mouth and fangs can give a sharp bite. The snake does strike at Cleo, but it’s not obvious whether the cat was injured or not.

“Nope rope in my house [. . .] just a bull snake, but I’m not ok,” wrote the human behind the SunnyCat Instagram account. The account has over 34,000 followers.

The footage of Cleo and the snake has over 3 million views, and people in the comments section can’t seem to get enough of the cute cat trying to be friends with the not-so-cuddly snake.

“She wants to play with the spicy noodle,” joked one person in the comments section.
