Kim DeFisher of Arctic Fox Daily meant to record a video of a rescue fox named Porsha ecstatically running up to greet her. She ended up getting an even better video, thanks to the cheeky fox, which then steals her phone and runs off with it, eventually plopping it into a hole, where DeFisher retrieves it. And yes, the phone was recording the whole time.
Arctic Fox Daily is a nonprofit wildlife rescue and rehabilitation organization in New York, and DeFisher spends the first part of the video loving on one of its residents, Porsha. The fox screeches with delight and play bites DeFisher’s hand. You have to wait for the crucial moment Porsha snatches DeFisher’s phone, but it’s definitely worth the wait.

Once Porsha gets the phone in her mouth, you can’t see much, but you can hear everything—from the fox’s tired pants to her joyful screams. When DeFisher finally gets her device back, she reassures Porsha that she still loves her.
“I wish you guys could see the bite marks in my screen protector,” wrote DeFisher in her TikTok post sharing the video, which went viral on multiple platforms.
