Matt Neustadter, a nature cinematographer, was working on a project in the Florida Everglades when he saw a startling sight—a massive live croc carrying a dead croc through the swamp. Neustadter captured some drone footage of the raw nature moment, sharing it on his Instagram page. The video attracted over 1.6 million likes.

The live croc is an American crocodile, and the dead croc is the same species. Neustadter explained how he came across the scene and how it made him feel in his social-media post:
“For this shoot, we were deep in the Florida Everglades shooting a product launch spot for a brand when we came across the biggest American Crocodile I’ve ever seen in the wild carrying off one his own species,” he wrote. “Already having the drone up, I used the rest of the battery on documenting this moment before refocusing on the project at hand. To me, even these brutal moments of raw nature, life and death, are such an amazing thing to witness let alone capture.”
