See Breathtaking Footage of a Wild Snow Leopard Family

Spotting a family of wild snow leopards was a dream come true for nature and wildlife photographer Abhinandan Sharma. While spending time in the Himalayas trying to spot these elusive animals, Sharma and his group were successful in finding and documenting the snow leopard family. The breathtaking footage then went viral on social media.

“A snow leopard family walking straight toward us in the wild—can you believe it?” wrote Sharma in his Instagram post sharing the video from last summer, which has over 4 million views and is still circulating as new outlets pick it up. “We stayed perfectly still as this incredible mother led her cubs right past us, completely at ease. After 10 days of tracking them in the Himalayas, this was the most breathtaking moment.”

In the video, three of these gorgeous animals—a mother and her two cubs—walk toward the camera, even making eye contact with it. The scene is peaceful, not tense, and the animals go on their way as if the photographers were not there.
