Backyard Swing vs. Moose vs. Police Officers

A strange showdown between a moose, a backyard swing, and a couple of police officers ended well for everyone. The town of Silverthorne, Colorado shared a video on Facebook showing the odd encounter from last week, in which an adult male moose somehow got tangled up in a swing, and Silverthorne Police officers came to help the moose out, but they definitely didn’t feel comfortable around the large animal.

The town of Silverthorne reported that after the moose got caught in a backyard swing, the police department sought assistance from Colorado Parks and Wildlife on how to free the moose. “The Silverthorne Police officers were able to safely and quickly free the moose without causing harm,” the Facebook post says.

In the video, you see police officers work exceptionally quick to yank the swing from the moose’s sizable antlers. Then, they sprint away. (We don’t blame them.)
