Nature Is Texting, and the Texts Are Funny

For National Wildlife Day earlier this week, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) imagined up some funny texts from Mother Nature and a few animals with a sense of humor. USFWS teamed up with Giphy to make some GIFs to add to the text threads, and they’re pretty clever.

In one imaginary text thread to “Deer,” USFWS texts “i have gossip.” Deer responds with a GIF showing a deer on high alert, ears slightly twitching, with the words “I’m all ears” overlaid on the visual. USFWS then shares the gossip, which will make you chuckle.

In addition to Mother Nature and Deer, USFWS also stages texts from a kingfisher, a black bear, a chipmunk, and a toad.
