We’re laughing with the bear, not at it. Except maybe we’re laughing at it a little bit, because if we could project human emotions onto this bear trying get into a hammock, we’d say it’s: thrilled at the sight of the hammock, determined to make it work, frustrated it can’t get in, and then just pissed at everything. The bear’s struggle is relatable. Sometimes life’s just not going to let you win, so you have to toss a pillow around for a bit before you can get yourself back up and try again.

Courtney Vucekovich posted a video to TikTok showing how she thought buying a hammock in the mountains would go vs. how it’s really going. In the video, you see a black bear trying over and over and over again to get into Vucekovich’s lovely hammock.
In fact, for more than a minute, you can watch this poor bear struggle, but its determination to get a little relaxation is impressive.
